I'm almost serious with that title. But seriously now, in the 21st century why does the game have to be subjected to these ridiculous decisions? TV replays are allowed for certain decisions (run-outs, stumpings, determining if a ball hit the ground before being caught), why can't TV replays be used for all decisions where there is doubt?
Some will say that umpires will just send every decision to the TV replay and that will slow down the game. But there are ways to work around that. For example, TV replays could be limited to team challenges and teams would be given a certain amount of challenges per inning. So for example, in the case of a close run-out chance, the umpire would make a decision. After that a team may challenge the decision if they felt the umpire made the wrong decision. In that case, TV replays would be employed to see if there is conclusive evidence to overturn the umpire's original decision. A similar situation is used to great success in the NFL in the USA.
In today's world with technology showing up the umpires' wrong decisions on TV screens in homes and at stadia around the world, isnt it passed time to apply TV replays to all aspects of the game of cricket? After the joke that passed for umpiring in the Antigua Test, isn't it time for TV replays?
